The Twilight Zone Season 2 Adds Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Topher Grace & More

It has been almost a year since the first season finale of Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone series, and now CBS All Access has announced the additional cast members that will be completing the upcoming second season’s ensemble.  In addition, the new episode details for the sci-fi horror anthology series have also been revealed.

Joining the next installment of The Twilight Zone are Kylie Bunbury, Sky Ferreira, Topher Grace, David Krumholtz, Greta Lee, Thomas Lennon, Natalie Martinez, Brandon Jay McLaren, Gretchen Mol, Paula Newsome, Tawny Newsome, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Paul F. Tompkins and Damon Wayans Jr.

Additional season two cast and episode titles, in no particular order, include:

Episode: “8” – Directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead from a script by written by Glen Morgan, the episode will be starring (previously announced) Joel McHale (Community, Stargirl) and Brandon Jay McLaren (UnREAL, Graceland).

Episode: “A Small Town” – Directed by Alonso Alvarez-Barreda from a script by written by Steven Barnes and Tananarive Due, the episode will be starring Damon Wayans Jr. (Happy Endings, Let’s Be Cops), David Krumholtz (The Deuce, Evel), Natalie Martinez (Reminiscence, The I-Land), and Paula Newsome (BarryChicago Med).

Episode: “Try, Try” – Directed by Jennifer McGowan from a script by written by Alex Rubens, the episode will be starring Topher Grace (BlackkklansmanBlack Mirror) and Kylie Bunbury (When They See Us, Pitch).

Episode: “You Might Also Like” – Written and directed by Osgood Perkins, the episode will be starring Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire, Manchester by the Sea) and Greta Lee (Russian Doll, High Maintenance).

Episode: “Ovation” – Directed by Ana Lily Amirpour from a script by written by Emily C. Chang and Sara Amini, the episode will be starring Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Birds of PreyLovecraft Country), Tawny Newsome (Space Force, Lower Decks), Sky Ferreira (Baby Driver, Twin Peaks), Paul F. Tompkins (BoJack Horseman, Comedy Bang! Bang!), and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!, Night at the Museum).

The original The Twilight Zone took viewers to another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. Created by Rod Serling, it was a journey into a wondrous land of imagination for five years on CBS, from 1959-1964. The godfather of sci-fi series, the show explored humanity’s hopes, despairs, prides and prejudices in metaphoric ways conventional drama could not.

Previously announced cast and episodes for Season 2 include:

Episode: “Downtime” – Directed by JD Dillard and written by Jordan Peele, the episode will star Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, Homeland), Colman Domingo (If Beale Street Could Talk, Fear the Walking Dead) and Tony Hale (Veep, Toy Story 4).

Episode: “The Who of You” – Directed by Peter Atencio and written by Win Rosenfeld, the episode will star Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie, Blindspotting), Daniel Sunjata (Graceland, Rescue Me), and Billy Porter (Pose, Like a Boss).

Episode: “A Human Face” – Directed by Christina Choe and written by Alex Rubens, the episode will star Jenna Elfman (Fear the Walking Dead, Dharma & Greg), Chris Meloni (The Handmaid’s Tale, 42), and Tavi Gevinson (Person to Person, Enough Said).

Episode: “Among The Untrodden” – Directed by Tayarisha Poe and written by Heather Anne Campbell, the episode will introduce Abbie Hern and Sophia Macy.

Episode: “Meet in the Middle” – Directed by Mathias Herndl and written by Emily C. Chang and Sara Amini, the episode will star Jimmi Simpson (Westworld, Black Mirror: USS Callister) and Gillian Jacobs (Community, Love).

The first season featured a star-studded ensemble cast which included: Seth Rogen (Invincible), Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick), John Cho (Searching), Jacob Tremblay (The Predator), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2, Joker), Betty Gabriel (Get Out) and more.

The new Twilight Zone series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Jordan Peele, Kinberg, and Marco Ramirez serve as executive producers for the series and collaborated on the premiere episode. Win Rosenfeld and Audrey Chon also serve as executive producers.
