The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 2 is Already Filming

The Netflix series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is already filming its second season. Lead actor Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) told Bloody Disgusting that she’s already on set for the show’s sophomore season, even though the first season doesn’t premiere on the streaming service until October 26.

We went straight into the second season from the first and it’s been really so exceptionally fun to film, especially given the fact that I feel like we’re already in such a rhythm from coming out of the first season that to jump right into the second one was really, really fun and just a great opportunity to keep the momentum going,” said Shipka, who also revealed that season two will be much different than the first. “Sabrina definitely changes and shifts a lot. Her growth is very evident and the second season definitely has a different spin on it than the first season. They’re very different from each other.

Shipka is joined by Lucy Davis (Wonder Woman) as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto (Annabelle: Creation) as Zelda Spellman, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez (Doctor Who) as Mary Wardell, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood, Tati Gabrielle as Prudence, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle and Bronson Pinchot in the cast.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale) is writing the adaptation (the comic book basis for which he also wrote) and will executive produce. Lee Toland Krieger will direct and executive produce with Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater. The drama hails from the Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions.

The series will premiere on Netflix on October 26.
