It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 13 Episode 10 Recap
In the previous episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Frank, Mac, and Dee went to Minnesota to watch their beloved Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl. What does this final installment have in store? Let’s find out as we recap It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia season 13 episode 10 ‘Mac Finds His Pride!’
Searching For Pride
Mac was sulking alone in his apartment, Frank then barged in and told Mac that he had been put in charge of putting together the Paddy’s Pub Gay Pride Parade float. Mac refused to help with the float as he was feeling ostracized from the gang due to his sexual orientation. Frank took Mac to go and find his pride, and he decided that Mac needed to go to a local gay bar and meet some guys. Frank had accidentally taken Mac to a BDSM/leather club and Mac pointed out that this was a very small part of the gay community. One of the club patrons had Frank and Mac leave the club as they were not dressed for the occasion. Next, Frank took Mac to a drag show.
Frank continued to express his concerns over being hit on by any of the guys in any of the clubs. Mac then revealed that he had yet to come out to his father and Frank thought that that might be the problem. Mac tried to explain to Frank his experience as a closeted gay man. Frank obviously did not understand in the even slightest way, but he took Mac to see his father in prison. Mac decided to come out to his father, but he got lost in a very tortured metaphor that resulted in his father thinking he had gotten a girl pregnant. Mac’s father was very excited about the prospect of having a grandchild and Mac was emotionally destroyed.
Frank went back to the bar and talked to Charlie about the state of the float. Dee had put together a float with a working bar and confetti cannons and they expressed their displeasure with Mac’s absence. Frank went back to Mac’s apartment and found a mysterious woman leaving. He accused Mac of going back into the closet and trying to get a girl pregnant. Frank decided to go and a new gay man to take Mac’s place on the float. He was put in charge of driving the float, but he was having trouble seeing as he had been having a nosebleed for most of the day. Frank left the float and went back to Mac’s. Frank convinced Mac to back to the prison and come out to his father through an elaborate interpretative dance routine. After the performance everyone gave him a standing ovation, except for Mac’s father, who refused to acknowledge anything that had just happened.
