“Hollywood Thriller” is the upcoming episode of Lethally Blonde that will be aired on ID on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10 p.m. ET. It will revolve around details of the mysterious death of Anneka Di Lorenzo, a former Penthouse model and movie star.

On January 4, 2011, some joggers discovered a woman’s body washed up on a beach near Camp Pendleton. Subsequent investigations identified her as Anneka Vasta, also known as Anneka Di Lorenzo. Aged 58, Lorenzo was a renowned Penthouse model and a B-list actress in Hollywood. People Magazine reported that her neck and back had been broken when she was found, but investigators could not determine whether it was a suicide or a murder.

As per Sky News, Anneka Di Lorenzo’s car had been found parked at a 60-foot high bluff above the beach. It seemed unlikely that she either jumped from or fell off the cliff, as the waves didn’t extend to that distance, and her body wouldn’t have touched the water. Inside the vehicle, her cell phone and purse were found. Investigators reportedly initially speculated, judging by the condition of the washed-up body, that it belonged to a teenager.

Anneka Di Lorenzo shot to fame and popularity after she was announced as the 1975 Penthouse Pet of the Year. She also famously appeared in a film titled Caligula, co-produced by a former Penthouse publisher named Bob Guccione. She later went on to date Guccione. After that, she sued him and won a case against him after an allegation of sexual harassment that she made against him was proved true, according to NBC San Diego.

Was Anneka Di Lorenzo’s killer ever found?

An autopsy revealed that there were no signs of intoxication in Anneka Di Lorenzo’s body. She reportedly had a history of mental health problems including paranoia. Although authorities found that the victim had drowned, it wasn’t determined how she made it to the water after parking her car on the bluff. The inconsistency in the information procured caused the question of how Anneka Di Lorenzo ended up dead, a mystery.

Anneka Di Lorenzo’s body was discovered on January 4, 2011. Two days prior, on January 2, she purportedly booked a room at a motel, although evidence of her stay there is insufficient. Inside her vehicle, authorities uncovered indications of a struggle. Among the findings was a plastic bag containing a leopard-print blouse and sports bra, both stained with blood. Additionally, a steak knife smeared with the victim’s blood was located on the passenger floorboard. When found on the beach, her wrists exhibited slash wounds.

According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, authorities also found an emptied bottle of Xanax and some lithium in the car. Xanax is an anti-anxiety drug, while Lithium is used to treat mood disorders. However, none of these or any other drugs were found in Anneka Di Lorenzo’s body upon the autopsy. There were mild slashes on her wrist and stab wounds on her chest, but none of these were harsh enough to kill her.

“Hollywood Thriller,” the episode of Lethally Blonde, will air on ID on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10 p.m. ET.
