Thai GL Series 23.5 Episode 5 Recap & Spoilers: Sun Invites Earth to Her Birthday Party

The ongoing Thai GL series 23.5 (23point5) released episode 5 on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 8:30 p.m. ICT on GMM 25. The Thai drama follows the story of Ongsa (Milk Pansa Vosbein). Her world turns upside down when she moves to a new school in a new city and meets her online crush, Sun (Love Pattranite Limpatiyakorn).

23.5 episode 5 begins with Ongsa giving Sun a bunch of flowers. She tells the latter that the delivery guy left them with her. However, Ongsa decides not to tell Sun that she is Earth. Elsewhere, Aylin gets teased by some juniors who call her an “alien.” Luna and Alpha get there in time and stop the students from bothering Aylin, who rushes away as she does not like speaking to people.

Alpha, worried about her cousin, inquires of Sun why Aylin lacks companionship. Sun, having known Aylin since seventh grade, explains to Alpha that Aylin’s fascination with extraterrestrial beings led her classmates to nickname her “alien,” prompting her withdrawal from social circles.

Afterward, in 23.5 episode 5, Sun’s classmates inquire if she has ever encountered Earth. Upon learning she has not, they jokingly suggest Sun should invite Earth to her upcoming birthday celebration. In the midst of a class session, Sun directly asks Earth to rendezvous with her on her special day. As Ongsa receives the unexpected invitation, she abruptly rises from her seat, visibly flustered amidst the classroom. Sun promptly invites Ongsa and her companions to her birthday bash.

She requests that they also deliver the invitation to Aylin. Subsequently, Ongsa reveals to her friends that Sun mistakenly believes Earth is male, sparked by the flowers she received. Tinh, Charoen, and Aylin counsel Ongsa to disclose the truth to Sun regarding her true identity as Earth. Later on, they encourage Ongsa to prepare a heartfelt gift for Sun.

23.5 episode 5 recap: Sun receives birthday gift from Earth

At school, the junior students bully Aylin, but Luna comes to the rescue and scolds them. The students then apologized to Aylin for their behavior. Later, Aylin asks Luna not to shout at others as she does not care what they say about her. Thus, Luna promises not to interfere later on.

Later, in 23.5 episode 5, Ongsa and Aylin confide in each other about their situations. Ongsa is in the dilemma of going to Sun’s birthday party as herself or Earth. Meanwhile, Aylin wonders if aliens can fall in love, too, like humans. Nonetheless, Ongsa rejoices when Sun sends a message to her for the first time and not Earth.

At the birthday party, Tinh, Charoen, and Aylin hand over their gifts to Sun. Meanwhile, Ongsa holds back the gift she made herself for Sun. Later, Sun messages Earth when he will arrive, as he says he will come to the party. Ongsa tries to tell Sun the truth but is interrupted when their friends bring the cake and sing Happy Birthday to her.

In 23.5 episode 5, Sun‘s friends observe patiently awaiting Earth’s arrival. They express their disapproval, suggesting that Earth should not have promised to come if he had no intention of doing so. Nonetheless, Sun speculates that Earth likely has his own reasons and opts to offer him one final opportunity. She then goes to a park, anticipating his arrival.

Later, Ongsa goes to see Sun at the park. The latter is still hopeful that Earth will come to meet her there. When he does not turn up, Ongsa asks Sun to leave with her. However, the latter says that she wants to be alone. Sun then messages Earth, saying he can tell her if he cannot make it, and she will not resent him for his absence.

When he does not reply, Sun heads back home and finds Ongsa waiting for her. Upon seeing her, Sun hugs Ongsa and breaks down in tears. However, a delivery guy hands a package to Sun. The episode ends with Sun receiving a planet bracelet from Earth, which Ongsa had herself made it via hand.
