MrBeast Is ‘Sold’ on Joe Rogan’s $10 Million Zombie Survival Show Idea

Joe Rogan appears to have pitched a potential new project to MrBeast during their recent lengthy discussion. They discussed the idea of a zombie survival show for most of the podcast. The popular YouTuber seemed to love the concept and was fighting the urge to call his team to bring it to life.

During the PowerfulJRE podcast, the zombie discussion came after MrBeast teased an idea to do an unscripted video set in an abandoned village or city, titled “Last Human on Earth” Simulation. There, he aimed to capture the experience of living in an overgrown place and to bring in contestants to compete, with the prize money for a month-long survival.

Joe Rogan built upon that idea, asking him to hire zombies and haunt the contestants overnight. The popular creator was “sold” by his pitch.

However, MrBeast noted a challenge that he might face with this idea. “I’ve been wanting to do that for a while, but I always get like hung up on like, Okay, we I can make some real zombies, but the problem is like, how do they kill them?”

“And then, you know, well, the other problem is what happens if you if you’re not telling these contestants that zombies are coming? You’re just trying to get a reaction out of them. What if this guy thinks it’s a real zombie and kills one of the people?” he added.

The duo further discussed how the contestants could potentially handle a zombie-like situation without it being perceived as unrealistic. In addition, they brainstormed the gameplay rules, who to cast, the prize money, and potential challenges the contestants could face.

While Rogan suggested a simple concept for a traditional zombie-survival show, MrBeast put his own spin on it, proposing that the prize money increase each day for those who survive. They also discussed the possibility of eliminated contestants returning as zombies.

He also shared ideas for completing the objectives and roughly estimated the production cost, which is around $5 million to $10 million.
