The Traitors Season 4’s Ron Funches Confirms Autism Diagnosis

Ron Funches, a contestant on The Traitors Season 4, has confirmed that he has been diagnosed with autism after some viewers suggested this might be the case. He shared the update on his official Instagram account and told followers they were “right.”

Ron Funches says the internet ‘was right’ about his autism diagnosis

Ron Funches, the comedian and actor, joined The Traitors Season 4 as a contestant. He has been clashing with fellow contestants since his arrival and has gained significant attention from viewers.

Based on his mannerisms, some viewers reportedly suggested that Funches may have autism.

Those assumptions were later confirmed by Funches through an Instagram story shared from his official account. “Well, the internet told me I was autistic and was right,” he wrote in his story (via E! News), “You win this round.” Referring to his experience on the show, he continued, “Thanks @thetraitorsus for helping me find out more about me through some type of cruel trauma.”

He concluded the message by referencing another fan theory about him, writing, “Still not gay yet.”

Funches later reflected on the diagnosis in a separate post on Threads. “I honestly didn’t know I myself had Autism. I thought I was just an ally and parent of an autistic child,” he wrote, on Threads, “but the way I felt I wasn’t being comprehended or understood while I thought I was being direct and seeing some of my own mannerisms made start the process of going to get a diagnosis.”

However, he has claimed that he is still waiting until his “diagnosis is done” to refer to himself as “autistic.”
