Here is a new trailer for Mortdecai, which looks like a truly dreadful January release. The first half of the trailer for the spy comedy starring Johnny Depp relies entirely on the joke of his mustache. It is a rather arduous process to sit through it, and it is only forty-five seconds long. Then there’s the second forty-five seconds, which is just as bad.
I am sure the Depp fans will line up to see this, if they are still out there. But I do not know what the appeal of this is? Aren’t we all tired of Depp’s wacky schtick already? I am. When he does decide to do it, it is much better in a small dose (i.e. Into the Woods).
Well, if you are at all interested in the film also starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany, and Jeff Goldblum, you are free to watch the new trailer below. I would recommend passing on it, but some people are just too interested in marketing.
