Alexandre Aja serves as co-producer on this new found footage horror film The Pyramid, directed by first timer Gregory Levasseur who co-wrote the screenplay for Aja’s The Hills Have Eyes remake as well as P2 and Mirror. Oddly enough, it was Daniel Meersand and Nick Simon who wrote this pic centered on the unearthing of an ancient pyramid and the evil that dwells inside.
The ancient wonders of the world have long cursed explorers who’ve dared to uncover their secrets. But a team of U.S. archaeologists gets more than they bargained for when they discover a lost pyramid unlike any other in the Egyptian desert. As they unlock the horrific secrets buried within, they realize they aren’t just trapped, they are being hunted.
Set for release on December 5, The Pyramid stars Ashley Hinshaw, James Buckley, Denis O’Hare, Christa-Marie Nicola and Amir K. Check out the trailer and poster below.
