I pushed my “no trailer watching” rule aside to watch the latest How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer and it looks like they’ve captured the magic again for the sequel. The idea of treating the dragons as canines was very smart and it looks like the inevitable “love interest” angle in this one will undoubtedly come across as cliche, but the characters have been developed to the point that it also appears to come across a little more naturally.
Set for release on June 13, How to Train Your Dragon 2 returns to the fantastical world of the heroic Viking Hiccup and his faithful dragon Toothless and again features a massive voice cast including Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, T.J. Miller, Kristen Wiig, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Cate Blanchett, Kit Harington and Djimon Hounsou.
