Set to premiere on BBC Two in the UK this April and later this year in domestic theaters courtesy of IFC, we have a new trailer for Michael Winterbottom‘s The Trip To Italy bringing back Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon in a sequel to the 2010 film The Trip.
Once again a mockumentary, the film finds Rob, tired from the responsibilities of being the father of a young child, and looking for some adventure. and Steve, whose been living a life of abstinence and hard work in Los Angeles. Now on a hiatus from his job, Steve has the time to come back to Europe as they two take a new culinary road trip, retracing the steps of the Romantic poets’ grand tour of Italy and indulging in some sparkling banter and impersonation-offs such as the impressions of Michael Caine in The Dark Knight Rises we saw earlier.
Check out the short TV trailer below and if you’re like me, and still haven’t seen the original, it’s available on Netflix Instant. I really should get on that, I’ve heard it’s great.
