A24 has premiered the first domestic trailer for Locke, a 90 minute movie that takes place entirely in one location, the car of the film’s protagonist, Ivan Locke (Tom Hardy)
Set for release on April 25, the unconventional drama is directed by Steven Knight and follows Ivan, a man with the perfect family and a dream job, but a phone call forces him to make a decision that will put it all on the line. Told through a series of phone calls during Locke’s drive.
Watch the first trailer below and let me know if the critical quotes and what you see is enough to convince you to check this film out. Pesonally I’m quite intrigued, despite the fact Knight directed Redemption (Hummingbird in some territories), which I found to be quite dull and repetitious. This, however, seems bold and unique and I’m always up for seeing whatever Tom Hardy is doing.
