Relativity has unveiled a new trailer for Crazy Heart director, Scott Cooper‘s Out of the Furnace featuring a stacked cast of actors including Christian Bale, Zoe Saldana, Casey Affleck, Sam Shepard, Woody Harrelson, Willem Dafoe and Forest Whitaker.
The Pittsburgh-set feature finds Bale as Russell Baze, a man working a dead-end job at the local steel mill, as his terminally ill father did before him. When Russell’s brother Rodney (Affleck) returns home from serving time in Iraq, he gets lured into one of the most ruthless crime rings in the Northeast and mysteriously disappears. The police fail to crack the case, so – with nothing left to lose – Russell takes matters into his own hands, putting his life on the line to seek justice for his brother. Sometimes your battles choose you.
The film was recently announced as one of the Gala selections at the upcoming AFI Film Festival, which takes place from November 7-14, and will follow that up with a December 6 release. Check out the trailer below.
