CBS Films has just released a red band trailer for the Coen brothers’ upcoming film Inside Llewyn Davis, which will have its premiere at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival later this month.
Starring Oscar Isaac in the lead role, Inside Llewyn Davis follows a week in the life of a young folk singer as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles — some of them of his own making. Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Justin Timberlake, F. Murray Abraham, Garrett Hedlund and more co-star.
I’ve heard the film will play Cannes on either May 19 or 20 and I’ll be there and have a review for you shortly after seeing it. CBS will release it in limited theaters on December 6, expanding nationwide on December 20.
