Black Rock played at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was acquired shortly thereafter by LD Entertainment, but ever since then not a peep… until now.
Yesterday the first trailer for the film arrived, but I overlooked it until now. The film stars Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell and Katie Aselton (who also directs) and centers on a group of girls on a reunion trip to a remote island in Maine. However, once there things don’t exactly go as planned and it turns into a fight for survival.
Mark Duplass, Aselton’s husband, wrote the film and it has been compared to Deliverance and seems to be considered a decent thriller worth a look. You’ll get a chance to get that look on May 17, 2013, but for now check out the trailer below.
