The MTV Movie Awards are proving once again they are more of a marketing tool than anything else as continued materials arrive in advance of Sunday’s show, this time it’s the first poster and a new trailer for the upcoming Steven Soderbergh feature Magic Mike starring Channing Tatum in a film based on his days as a stripper.
Set for a June 29 release, the film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money. Matthew McConaughy, Adam Rodriguez and Kevin Nash co-star.
