And they just keep on coming, now we have a teaser trailer for Despicable Me 2, which won’t hit theaters for over a year on July 3, 2013 and we still don’t even have a plot for the feature as the synopsis only tells us it will feature “the return of Gru (Steve Carell), the girls, the unpredictably hilarious minions and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.”

All that is known is what we learned when Javier Bardem was once attached and was then replaced as the film’s villain by Al Pacino. When Bardem was attached the villain was known as El Macho with a son of his own named Machito. There is no word on whether or not they changed that with the casting of Pacino or not, but a villain he remains. Otherwise, I guess we could expect Russell Brand, Jason Segel, Miranda Cosgrove, Elsie Fisher, Dana Gaier and Julie Andrews to return, but there has been no official casting confirmations as of yet.

As a result, this trailer is really nothing more than an announcement trailer with the minions singing their own version of “Barbara Ann”.

You can watch it in high-definition right here.
