![]() Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street Photo: Colombia Pictures Colombia Pictures has debuted the red band trailer for 21 Jump Street, a feature film adaptation of the mid-’80s television series that jump-started Johnny Depp‘s career. The film features Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in the lead roles with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs helmers, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, directing. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t seen a single episode of the television show so I have no idea if what to expect from the film, but based on the snippets I saw while snagging the above screenshot it looks like it’s supposed to be some sort of buddy-cop spoof as Jonah Hill and C-Tates play high school students looking for some sort of drugs. Did the original “21 Jump Street” have a lot of comedy in it? Here’s the official synopsis from the studio:
The film co-stars Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Rob Riggle, DeRay Davis, Jake Johnson, Johnny Simmons, Dakota Johnson, Ellie Kemper and is expected to feature a cameo appearance from Depp. Colombia is set to release the film in theaters on March 16, 2012. You can check out the red band trailer directly below. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Show Comments |
