An international trailer for Let Me In, the Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) directed remake of Let the Right One In, which in itself was an adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s best-selling Swedish novel has arrived online giving questioning fans a first look at the film many of them seem to have been skeptical of since they first heard there would be an American adaptation.
The film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz and centers on Owen (Smit-McPhee), an alienated 12-year-old boy who befriends Abby (Moretz), a mysterious young newcomer in his small New Mexico town and discovers an unconventional path to adulthood. I don’t want to say anymore for those of you that either haven’t read the book or seen the original film, but I am sure the trailer gives more away… I’d be able to tell you for myself, but I didn’t watch it.
Overture Films is currently set to release Let Me In on October 1, you can watch the trailer directly below and get additional information and a look at the first two images from the film in the RopeofSilicon gallery right here.
