So, this morning I wake up to tips of posters and websites and a whole slew of other madness going on concerning The X-Files 2. Perhaps the best part is how the online community has collectively decided to stop sourcing the original websites that break actual news online.
First off, IGN has the actual first look at the teaser poster for X-Files 2. You will notice the difference between the real version (featuring the IGN logo) and the one next to it that has been cropped and Photoshopped to remove the IGN logo because heaven forbid someone else actually get credit. RopeofSilicon will have the hi-res version on Monday, but until then check it out at IGN.
On top of that, the official site for the film is now online at xfiles.com and has up pics we have seen, an abridged synopsis as the storyline is stil being kept under wraps and international release dates. The trailer is still not available and a Fox representative told me they don’t know when it actually will be, but I was told that “the thing showed at Paleyfest that is all over the place is NOT the trailer” (still online at JoBlo).
Oh, and if you want to see another version of the poster in a way that also diverts giving credit to IGN you can see a photo of it here and another fake version here.
The official title for the film is also yet to be announced, but the film itself will be released on July 25th.
