Wish Deleted Song Revealed Following Disney Movie’s Digital Release

Disney has shared a Wish deleted song from its latest fantasy animated movie, which is now available to rent or buy on digital platforms.

The deleted song, titled “A Wish Worth Making,” is revealed in a brand new Wish featurette, featuring directors Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn discussing the story behind the its creation. The song is performed by Victor Garber’s character Saba Sabino.

What is Wish?

“It is an all-new story is set in the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, an optimist with a sharp wit and a deep caring for her community, turns to the sky in a moment of need, and makes a wish,” reads the film’s synopsis. “Asha’s plea is answered by a cosmic force, a little ball of boundless energy, Star. Together, they will face the most formidable of foes to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars — wondrous things can happen.”

Wish was directed by Buck and Veerasunthorn from a screenplay written by Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore. The film features the voices of Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, Harvey Guillén as Gabo, Natasha Rothwell as Sakina, Angelique Cabral as Queen Amaya, Ramy Youssef as Safi, Evan Peters as Simon, and more.

The film was produced by Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes, with Lee executive producing. It featured original songs by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice, plus a score by composer Dave Metzger.
