Failure to Protect Trailer Previews Documentary on Child Welfare System

A new Failure to Protect trailer is here, previewing the upcoming documentary documenting the child welfare system in the U.S.

The documentary tells the story of a group of parents who are looking to reunite with their children, as well as explores the various reasons that can lead to a child’s removal from the home. Failure to Protect is directed, produced, and edited by Jeremy Pion-Berlin.

The film “follows five parents – Anna, Trish, Rheta, Ernst, and Rosa – as they fight desperately to reunify with their children taken by Child Protective Services (CPS). It’s an unwavering and nuanced look at the child welfare system where criminals have more rights than parents,” according to the official synopsis of the film.

Failure to Protect is set to release on October 17, 2023, and will be available on digital platforms.
