ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive New Gods: Yang Jian clip from GKIDS‘ animated action fantasy movie. The film is set to release on Blu-ray and DVD on April 25.
“Thirteen years after Yang Jian imprisoned his sister, the once-powerful hero also known as Erlang Shen now scrapes by as a poor bounty hunter,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “When a mysterious woman hires him, Yang Jian soon finds himself chasing down a familiar figure. He must stop Chenxiang, his long-lost nephew, who searches for a powerful, but dangerous artifact. As Yang Jian confronts his past, he must face treacherous vigilantes seeking to bring catastrophic destruction.”

New Gods: Yang Jian was directed by ZHAO Ji. The English cast includes Nicholas Andrew Louie, Christine Lin, Parry Shen, Luke Naphat Sath, and James Sie. Meanwhile, the Chinese cast features WANG Kai, JI Guanlin, LI Lihong, LI Lanling, and ZHAO Yi.
