Hotel Transylvania: Transformania Trailer Sets Amazon Prime Video Debut

A brand new Hotel Transylvania: Transformania trailer for Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming fourth and final installment to the hit animated franchise has been released, featuring Drac and his legendary monster friends as they accidentally become humans all thanks to Johnny’s desire to fit in with the rest.

Originally set for a 2021 debut, Sony has decided to cancel the film’s theatrical release plans due to the ongoing pandemic, with the movie being successfully acquired by Amazon Studios last August. It is now currently slated for a global premiere on January 14, 2022, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania will feature the voices of Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kathryn Hahn, Jim Gaffigan, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, Keegan-Michael Key, Brian Hull, Fran Drescher, Brad Abrell, and Asher Blinkoff.

Unlike the first three films, the final installment will not include Adam Sandler as the lead and voice of Dracula, after voicing the character in the first three films. The character will now be voice by Brian Hull, who first took over the role in the recently released short film Monster Pets.

“Drac and the Pack are back, like you’ve never seen them before in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania,” reads the synopsis. “Reunite with your favorite monsters for an all-new adventure that presents Drac with his most terrifying task yet. When Van Helsing’s mysterious invention, the ‘Monsterification Ray,’ goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny becomes a monster! In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late, and before they drive each other crazy. With help from Mavis and the hilariously human Drac Pack, the heat is on to find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent.”
