Vince Vaughn, Liam Hemsworth & Clark Duke to topline Arkansas film

Deadline brings word that Vince Vaughn (Delivery Man), Liam Hemsworth (The Expendables) and Clark Duke (I’m Dying Up Here) will be starring in Arkansas, the directorial debut for Duke who also wrote the screenplay.

Arkansas is a mafia movie that follows a pair of low-level drug runners in the Dixie Mafia, Kyle (Hemsworth) and Swin (Duke), who live by the orders of an Arkansas-based drug kingpin named Frog (Vaughn) whom they’ve never met. But when a deal goes horribly wrong, deadly consequences are soon to rattle the duo’s routine lives.

Patrick Hibler, Jeff Rice, Martin Sprock, and Storyboard Media will produce. Executive producers include film funders David Gilbery and Charles Dorfman of Media Finance, Jason Allison, Michael S. Smith, and Franchesca Lantz for Don Kee Productions, Hercules Film Fund (who also provided financing), and Rhea Films’ Paris Kasidokostas-Latsis, Terry Dougas, and Jean-Luc De Fanti. Andre Relis, Elisabeth Costa de Beauregard, and Phil Kim will also serve as executive producers.

JD Beaufils and Julie Paquit from VMI will handle sales for the project which is scheduled to go before buyers via VMI Worldwide at the American Film Market that starts on October 31.

Vaughn has a slate of comedic and dramatic roles under his credits, including Wedding Crashers, Old School, Dodgeball, Delivery Man, The Internship, Hacksaw Ridge, Brawl in Cell Block 99, Dragged Across Concrete, and in the crime drama series True Detective. His upcoming projects include Fighting with My Family, and the biographical thriller Against All Enemies starring Zazie Beetz and Kristen Stewart.

Hemsworth’s credits include The Hunger Games franchise, The Expendables, Independence Day: Resurgence, and The Duel. His upcoming projects include the romance comedy Isn’t It Romantic starring alongside Priyanka Chopra and Rebel Wilson, and the crime drama Killerman.

Duke has a variety of television and movie credits, including The Office, Greek, I’m Dying Up Here, Hot Tub Time Machine, The Croods, Bad Moms and The Last Movie Star. He’s currently voicing The Croods 2, where he will be reprising his character of Thunk in the animated movie.
