Trippy poster for A Simple Favor adds to the mystery
The missing person thriller A Simple Favor gets a new poster to add to its mystery. The angular, art-deco design and bright colors show fractured images of the stars’ faces, hinting that their lives will be turned upside down by the events of the film.
A Simple Favor centers around Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily’s (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily’s husband Sean (Henry Golding) in this stylish thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty, murder and revenge.
The film also stars Andrew Rannells, Linda Cardellini, Jean Smart, and Rupert Friend. A Simple Favor is directed by Paul Feig (2016’s Ghostbusters) from the screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer. The story is based on the novel of the same name by Darcy Bell. Feig produces the film alongside Jessie Henderson.
A Simple Favor will be released in theaters on September 14.
