The first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s long-awaited Glass premiered during Universal’s CinemaCon panel today, offering the first hint at the plot of the upcoming movie that brings together the casts of Unbreakable and Split!
In the trailer (via THR), Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story series) appears as a psychiatrist who describes herself as someone that specializes in “individuals who believe they are superheroes.” Present among her patients at a Philadelphia asylum are Bruce Willis’ David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson’s Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass, and James McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb, aka The Horde.
Price speaks up in the trailer saying, “I have been waiting for the world to see that we exist.”
And when asked his name by someone he replies, “First name, Mister. Last name…” Cut to: Glass title card.

Also starring in the film is Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast, who reprises her role from Split. Plus Unbreakable’s Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, who reprise their roles as Dunn’s son and Price’s mother.
This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Blumhouse Production’s Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce.
A Blinding Edge Pictures and Blumhouse production, Glass will be released by Universal Pictures in North America on January 18, 2019, and by Buena Vista International abroad.
