Jon Turteltaub Takes Family Fantasy Beached

Jon Turteltaub is attached to the Fox 2000 family fantasy Beached, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. He’ll helm and rewrite the script, originally drafted by Ted Griffin and later rewritten by Jordan Roberts.

The project revolves around an overweight four year old who, after falling off a boat, is raised by whales and becomes an Olympic swimmer.

Turteltaub is best known for directing both films in the National Treasure franchise. His last project was 2010’s The Sorceror’s Apprentice, though he’s now prepping to shoot Last Vegas for CBS films.
