Murray Fraser & Parisa Fitz-Henley Cast as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Lifetime Movie

For anyone counting down the days until the next Royal Wedding, Lifetime has you covered. The cable network has officially cast Murray Fraser (The Loch) and Parisa Fitz-Henley (Jessica Jones) as their Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in an upcoming TV film entitled Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance that will detail the whirlwind romance between the once-scoundrel Prince and Hollywood actress. As the actual Royal Wedding is set for May 19th, the network is aiming to finish production in time for the film’s planned release this spring. The tight schedule leaves little room for Lifetime to dawdle if they’d like to satisfy the hungry Royal fans hankering for anything related to Harry and Meghan.

Deadline provided a brief description of the film’s synopsis:

Harry & Meghan chronicles the courtship and love story between a beloved prince and his new fiancée. The film will examine the history of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps, and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan’s life as a divorced American actress.”

In 2011, Lifetime released William & Kate: The Movie which detailed the relationship between Harry’s brother, Prince William and his future wife, Kate Middleton. Clearly the network knows what its audience wants and that is movies about the Royal romances released a few months (in William & Kate’s case, 11 days) prior to their respective Royal Wedding.

Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance is directed by Menhaj Huda, who has collaborated on the E! series, The Royals, with script writer Scarlett Lacey. Lacey is set to pen the script for Harry and Meghan with Merideth Finn and Michele Weiss (Flowers In the Attic) set to executive produce.
