Malcolm Lee has been named by EW as the director of Scary Movie 5, the next installment in the successfully comedy franchise.
Lee most recently directed 2008’s Soul Men and previous credits include The Best Man, Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce and Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins.
Lee will also serve as a writer and producer for the film, alongside David Zucker, who wrote and directed the last two Scary Movies.
Scary Movie 5 will shoot this summer with a targeted release of January 11, 2013.
