Vin Diesel Comments on the Fast & Furious 9 Delay

This week, two big announcements regarding the Fast & Furious franchise were made. First came the news of the Fast & Furious 9 delay from April 19, 2019 to April 10, 2020, and then we learned that an untitled spinoff, featuring Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard, is set to be released on July 26, 2019.

Tyrese voiced his displeasure of the developments before the spinoff was even confirmed, but now Vin Diesel has posted a more positive message on Instagram

Regarding the spinoff, Dwayne Johnson also had this to say on Twitter.

The Fate of the Furious, which hit theaters on April 14, 2017, reunited Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges in a heart-stopping new adventure that also features Charlize Theron, Kurt Russell and Scott Eastwood. The film earned $1.238 billion at the worldwide box office, with $225.7 million coming from North American theaters and $1.013 billion internationally.
