Interstellar stars McConaughey and Hathaway reunite in Serenity photo
IM Global has released the first photo from Serenity, which reunites Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. They also announced that Academy Award nominee Diane Lane (Trumbo, Under the Tuscan Sun, Unfaithful) has joined the noir thriller from Academy Award-nominated writer and director Steven Knight (Locke, Dirty Pretty Things).
Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy, Blood Diamond), and Jeremy Strong (The Big Short, upcoming Detroit) also star in the film.
Serenity, which is currently shooting on location in Mauritius, is a mysterious tale of a fishing boat captain whose past is about to crash up against his life on a small island in the tropics and ensnare him in a new reality that might not be all it seems to be.
Lane recently completed shooting The Silent Man starring Liam Neeson and will be seen later in the year in Justice League. Lane replaces the previously-announced Uma Thurman, who had to drop out due to scheduling difficulties.
Guy Heeley (Locke) and Academy Award winner Greg Shapiro (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) are producing the film.
