Marvel’s The Avengers Doing Reshoots this Week?

While some possible heavy spoilers are making the rounds on the internet today, Marvel Studios is reportedly prepping to do some reshoots for The Avengers at Manhattan Beach Studios in Los Angeles this week. On Location Vacations says:

“We’ve heard from a couple different sources that there was a casting call issued for The Avengers in Los Angeles this week.

All we know so far is that there is going to be some activity at Manhattan Beach Studios today for the movie, but it sounds like it is only a rehearsal or fittings, no actual filming, yet.

If they are doing some re-shoots in the next couple of weeks, it will most likely take place in the studio.”

In related news, Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in the movie, talked to The Wall Street Journal about the deeper meaning behind the film. Here’s a clip from the article:

Mark Ruffalo says the coming film, “The Avengers,” is an allegory for Americans.

“You have all these disparate egos, superheroes in this and that, and they refuse to give up some of their positions in order to make a more perfect union and to join the team,” Ruffalo says.

“That’s really what the whole movie is about: subjugating your own best interest momentarily to further that of the whole,” he says.

The Avengers, written and directed by Joss Whedon, opens in theaters on May 4.
