Avengers: Doomsday latest updates might have spoiled a major threat for Doctor Doom. Following the first official trailer of MCU’s December release, Doom has been established as a menacing and powerful villain. Surprisingly, while fans expect superheroes like Thor and Captain America to match his game, the latest collaboration with Hasbro has revealed something quite fascinating.
It looks like it will be Shang-Chi who will play an important role in the battle against Doctor Doom.
Why Shang-Chi could be the key to defeating Doctor Doom
Marvel and Hasbro collaborated to release a lineup of superhero action figures ahead of Avengers: Doomsday. Interestingly, the Shang-Chi character has received some significant hype. According to a statement from Hasbro and Marvel, as reported by PEOPLE, Shang-Chi “may be the only hero powerful enough to stop the threat the Avengers face.”
The collectible action figure of Shang-Chi will feature six accessories. There will be four alternate hands alongside a couple of Ten Rings power effects. Currently, there are no further details on how the superhero will manage to thwart the threat posed by Doctor Doom.
One of the biggest moments in the Avengers: Doomsday trailer was when he seemed to stop the Stormbreaker attack from Thor with just two fingers. Let’s not forget that this was the very same weapon that managed to strike Thanos in the heart despite the mad Titan having all six of his Infinity Stones at his disposal.
Thus, if the latest announcement from Marvel is to be believed, then the mystical Ten Rings could become one of the most important artifacts in Avengers: Doomsday. Shang-Chi also featured in the trailer, where he was spotted using the Ten Rings against Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
Surely, the fans will have a lot on their plate to decode following the latest reveal. But they will have to wait until December 18, 2026, when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters to answer all their queries.
