Nolan, Bay and Cuaron Top the List for Twilight Zone ?

Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. Pictures is looking at Christopher Nolan (Batman films), Michael Bay (“Transformers” films) and Alfonso Cauron (Children of Men and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) as the top director candidates for the new The Twilight Zone feature.

While the 1983 version had four directors helming separate segment (Steven Spielberg, John Landis, Joe Dante and George Miller), the new movie is expected to feature a single storyline with one director, says the site. It is expected to touch on several themes from the Rod Serling TV series that ran from 1959-1964.

Nolan is reportedly the frontrunner out of the three, though it is not clear whether he will take on the project.

They also add that Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt is in the mix as well.

Leonardo DiCaprio will produce through his Appian Way, along with Jennifer Killoran Davisson and George DiCaprio. Rand Ravich and Jason Rothenberg wrote the script.
