Currently in production on Gary Ross’ adaptation of the bestselling Suzanne Collins novel, The Hunger Games, Elizabeth Banks spoke with ComingSoon.net at the junket for her upcoming dramatic comedy, Our Idiot Brother, speaking briefly about her turn as Effie Trinket.
“We’re almost done,” she says of the shoot which started in North Carolina this past May, “We’ve got a little under a month left. It’s very exciting. We’re really making a provocative movie that’s also highly entertaining. It’s gonna be fun. It’s really great to make something that you know people are excited about and also that you know is gonna deliver. I really think the fans are gonna love it.”
Targeted for a PG-13 rating, The Hunger Games tells the tale of a dystopic future and the annual “Hunger Games,” a fight to the death on live television. Banks joins a cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Toby Jones, Donald Sutherland and many more with a release scheduled for March 23, 2012.
Our Idiot Brother, meanwhile, arrives in theaters on August 26th. Check back soon for full video interviews with cast.
