Rob Riggle is in negotiations to play the main villain in Columbia Pictures’ 21 Jump Street, reports Variety.
He’ll be joining Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube and Brie Larson in the action comedy from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs writers/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
Based on the Fox series that ran from 1987 to 1991, the movie will center on two undercover cops (Hill and Tatum), who are assigned to work in schools. Cube is playing the police chief and Larson is the female lead.
21 Jump Street is scheduled to hit theaters on March 16, 2012. Filming starts later this month.
