Neve Campbell is negotiating to play the lead in the upcoming Singularity, according to a story at The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, helmed by Roland Joffe (The Mission, The Killing Fields), will weave a split narrative about reincarnation. Josh Hartnett will star as the same soul in two different bodies, an archeologist in 2015 and a 1778 British officer.
Campbell’s character, meanwhile, will be limited to the 2015 timeframe as the wife of Harnett who, per THR “gets stuck in a sunken ship while trying to retrieve a ring.”
Campbell’s plans should be finalized shortly, paving the way for a January start.
