Michael J. Bassett Heads to Saint Mary’s

Michael J. Bassett, the director of Solomon Kane, has plans to tackle a horror film based in an abandoned mental asylum, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Bassett, who is just beginning work on Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, will write and direct the film, described as a “psychological horror story” about people navigating the mazelike building, pursued by a supernatural force that causes them to live out their nightmares.

Previously attached to the project is co-writer Matthew Kingshott, who developed the initial story.
