Kimberly Peirce to Direct Wicked Lovely

Kimberly Peirce has signed on to direct Wicked Lovely for Universal, reports Heat Vision.

The project, just announced last week, will adapt Melissa Marr’s series of novels about Aislinn, a 17-year-old girl who has the ability to see fairies and who is drawn into their dangerous world.

Wicked Lovely marks only the third feature film from Peirce, who followed her 1995 critically acclaimed Boys Don’t Cry with 2008’s Stop-Loss.
