Alcon Options Howard Storm Memoir My Descent Into Death

Alcon Entertainment has optioned the book My Descent Into Death, a supernatural thriller dramatizing author/Christian minister Howard Storm’s personal account of his near death experience, it was announced by Alcon Entertainment co-founders and co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.

Jinder Ho (There, Past on Conversation) will write the film adaptation of Storm’s gripping near death experience, uniquely different from all other similar accounts as his is a journey through Hell. Mark Clayman (The Pursuit of Happyness) brought the book to Alcon and will produce along with principals Johnson and Kosove.

Carl Rogers, Head of Development at Alcon Entertainment, will oversee the project with Creative Executive Alex Tompkins. Rogers, who has been with Alcon since 2005 has been involved in the development in a number of the Company’s successful films.

Alcon’s upcoming projects include the road trip comedy Bastards, now in post-production starring Owen Wilson and Ed Helms; and a sequel to Blade Runner, currently in pre-production with Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri and Mackenzie Davis. Denis Villeneuve is directing with Ridley Scott Executive Producing.
