Michael Keaton Back in Talks for Spider-Man: Homecoming, New Details Revealed

Michael Keaton back in talks for Spider-Man: Homecoming

As quickly as Michael Keaton’s hat was thrown in the ring for Spider-Man: Homecoming, it was taken out of it. The actor was previously in talks for the villain role of the film, but pulled out after just a few days. Now, Variety reports that Keaton is back in and that talks originally stalled when Robert Downey Jr. signed on for the film, but now it appears Sony Pictures is eager to have both of them appear in the movie.

This report comes after new details about Spider-Man: Homecoming have surfaced from JoBlo, which reports that the main villain in the film (as previous rumors suggested) will be The Vulture. Not only that but another minor villain will be helping him out in the form of The Tinkerer, who the site says will “help him build his suit with recovered Chitauri tech from the Battle of New York.”

Additionally the Spider-Man suit from Captain America: Civil War will be getting an upgrade in the film, as the site says the trademark “Web wings” designed by Steve Ditko will be a part of the costume and will deploy as Peter needs them in the film.

These new rumors remain unconfirmed, so check back here as w learn more details about Spider-Man: Homecoming. In the meantime, what do you think of Michael Keaton appearing in the film? Sound off below!
