New ‘Ant-Man’ Pictures Bring Size into Perspective

One of the more interesting aspects of the upcoming Ant-Man I’m interested in seeing is how they handle the character’s size. There was already that bit in the trailer involving the train set, which looked like it was more of a “Saturday Night Live” spoof than something from the actual film, but I can’t really judge that sequence out of context. Based on these new pictures from the movie via Empire, however, size will play a major role, as it should, but will it be corny and a joke each time out or will it merely be a situation where the title character has to avoid being stepped on by humans that don’t see him? Will there be a joke about a can of RAID? One can only hope not.

Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17, check out the new pictures below.

Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
