A Look at the Animal City of ‘Zootopia’ in New Disney Concept Art

It won’t be hitting theaters until March 4, 2016 so don’t go adding it to your Best Animated Feature predictions for this year, but Disney is giving us a new look at their upcoming animated feature Zootopia in the form of the above concept art.

What you’re seeing here is the titular animal city where the story will center on a fast-talking fox who’s trying to make it big goes on the run when he’s framed for a crime he didn’t commit. The city’s top cop, a self-righteous rabbit, is hot on his tail, but when both become targets of a conspiracy, they’re forced to team up and discover even natural enemies can become best friends.

The city is comprised of what are essentially neighborhood habitats such as Tundratown, Sahara Square, Little Rodenta, Burrowborough and a Studio Ghibli-inspired location called the Rabbit Transit District. It’s essentially impossible to make any of that out here, but I guess you can attempt to make out an Empire State Building-esque building, the city’s very own Golden Gate Bridge and Sydney Opera House and perhaps one of those tall buildings is supposed to be the Dubai-inspired Sahara Square’s own Burj Khalifa.
