Oscar Isaac‘s stock continues to rise as he not only has a role in J.J. Abrams‘s Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens but he’s now landed the role of the title comic book villain in X-Men: Apocalypse for director Bryan Singer. It was once rumored
The film will serve as the sequel to this year’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past and is said to be set in the 1980s. There are few details as far as the film’s plot, but as for the Apocalypse character, Tom Hardy was once here when discussing the character’s appearance at the end of Days of Future Past.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set for a May 27, 2016 release with Isaac joining the likes of Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Hugh Jackman with Channing Tatum likely to make an appearance as Gambit before spearheading his own spin-off.
Isaac will next be seen in A Most Violent Year and Ex Machina.
