Tom Hardy Wanted for ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Villain

With the number of superhero movies in the pipeline, speculation over who will play what hero and what villain won’t be ending any time soon and things are no different today as The Wrap reports Tom Hardy is being sought to play “En Sabah Nur,” which means “The First One” and is also the name for the titular villain in X-Men: Apocalypse, a character first introduced in 1986’s “X-Factor” comics.

I went into greater detail as to who this Apocalypse guy is right here as he’s the blue fella you saw during the X-Men: Days of Future Past end credit sequence. To put it simply, he’s the world’s first mutant.

Bryan Singer will return to direct X-Men: Apocalypse for a May 27, 2016 release with Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Hugh Jackman all expected to return.

As for Hardy, he’s also been listed as one of the actors wanted for David Ayer‘s Suicide Squad, which Warner Bros. announced only last week. Along with Hardy, Ryan Gosling, Margot Robbie and Will Smith are also wanted to joins the A-Team-esque story.
