Warner Bros. has released five new pictures from The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and granted, they are pretty much all screen captures from the first trailer, but I felt some of you may appreciate the shot of Smaug up top since capturing anything too clearly from that scene in the trailer was a little tough.
Arriving in theaters on December 17, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is the final chapter in Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit trilogy and it begins as the dwarves may have reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, but Smaug reacts with fiery doom, meanwhile the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain and the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed.
The film stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Richard Armitage, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug, Billy Connolly and Orlando Bloom.
