Lionsgate has revealed the first teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and it features Donald Sutherland as Panem President, Coriolanus Snow, ruler of the Capitol and all of Panem. Flanked by Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Snow delivers a typical speech of propaganda.
Sorry, no, not a glimpse of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, nor any action bits, but it would appear this is mostly about setting the mood and with five months to go before the film’s November 21 release, I’m pretty sure there will be more than enough opportunity for Lionsgate to give you plenty more trailers, clips, pictures, posters, featurettes, character posters, et cetera. So, for now, let’s just admire the calmer approach for a moment.

The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
