Vimeo-ist Tony Zhou has been on a role lately with his recent looks at the oners of Steven Spielberg and now a look at Martin Scorsese‘s use of silence in this latest video essay.
Here he uses scenes from movies such as GoodFellas, The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Last Temptation of Christ and Raging Bull and uses Man of Steel as a comparison, noting how today’s films have used silence in a much different way.
Once again he manages to entertain as well as inform. Oh, and it’s probably not safe for work, so, headphones on.
