French actor Omar Sy made a big splash with the fabulous Intouchables, which eventually won him a Cesar Award, and he’s now quickly become something of a franchise goto having already landed a role in Bryan Singer‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past as Bishop, and now a role in Colin Trevorrow‘s Jurassic World.
Sy joins a growing cast that already includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Idris Elba, Vincent D’Onofrio and Irrfan Khan with a June 12, 2015 release date already set.
There’s no official word just yet on the film’s plot, though it is expected to return to Island Nublar where it all began in Steven Spielberg‘s Jurassic Park based on the Michael Crichton novel.
The announcement was made via Twitter with Sy and Trevorrow both weighing in.
